TruthPress is an independent digital press and archival platform dedicated to preserving fact-based journalism and investigative reporting. These rules establish the editorial, ethical, and operational standards for all contributors.

3. Ethical Standards

TruthPress contributors are expected to follow recognized journalistic ethics, including:

  • Accuracy and fairness in reporting

  • Transparency in methodology and sourcing

The SPJ Code of Ethics is recommended as a reference framework.

4. Accepted Content

TruthPress accepts the following content types:

5. Linking Standards

  • Links must support documentation or context
  • ❌ No affiliate links, referral programs, or monetized redirects
  • ❌ No artificial link-building or SEO manipulation
Links must serve verification, not promotion.

6. Media Policy

Video Content

  • ❌ Direct video uploads are not permitted
  • ✅ Videos must be embedded from established platforms (e.g. YouTube, Vimeo)
  • Embedded video must add factual or documentary value

Images

  • ✅ Only upload images with valid usage rights
  • Attribution is required where applicable
  • Recommended file size: under 5MB
  • Misleading or manipulated imagery is prohibited

7. Prohibited Content 🚫

The following content is strictly prohibited on TruthPress:

9. Corrections & Archival Integrity

  • Verified errors must be corrected promptly

  • Silent edits that alter meaning are not permitted

11. Platform Resource Considerations

TruthPress operates with limited resources. Contributors are asked to:

  • Embed media instead of uploading large files
